I was born in Baghdad on May 22nd, 1978, in Baghdad-Iraq, my parents are Sargon Deacon Andrious and Bernadet Zadoq. I have one brother and two sisters. After the divine calling to serve the church, I joined the priestly monastery of Baghdad in 1994. After graduating from high school in 1996, I joined the Theological and Philosophical College of Babylon in Baghdad. In 1998, I was ordained a sub- deacon in St. Mary church by the Metropolitan Mar Gewargis (now Patriarch). In 2001, was ordained a deacon in the St Gewargis Church in Baghdad. After graduating from the College of Babylon and obtaining a BA, I traveled to Europe to complete postgraduate studies in theology, so after my priestly ordination in 2004 at the hands of the Bishop of the Europe diocese, Mar Odisho, in Stockholm-Sweden. After that I went to the city of Vienna-Austria, to complete higher studies. In 2011, I obtained a master’s degree in Liturgy from the University of Vienna – Faculty of Theology – Department of ecclesiastical liturgy. By the blessing of His Holiness Mar Dinkha, I was appointed in 2012 to be a priest of the Church of St. Mary in Roselle-Illinois. God willing, I hope to continue serving our lord in our holy church.
